John R. Majoros, 57, of Centralia died of colon and liver cancer in Centralia Providence Hospital at 8:20 PM, March 1, 2012. In his final days and hours he was surrounded and supported by a multitude of family and dear friends. The youngest of his family, he was born January 12, 1955 in Centralia to Michael and Mary Majoros, siblings Bob and Linda, and half-sisters Jackie and Valarie Holbrook. In his teens he “hacked brush” for the Department of Natural Resources, then later clerked in all three Centralia Reliance Food Centers. He eventually married fellow employee Debbie Seroshek in Centralia on January 17, 1976. His two greatest interests were selling things and working on cars. He got to do both. After managing the Stop ‘N Go in Chehalis a few years, he next ran his own mobile mechanic business for about five years from a red van with the logo “The Automedic.” He then worked at Ron’s Auto Repair in Centralia and stayed when it changed hands and became Hag’s Automotive. As a side business, he began selling garage sale items on the Internet. He started working at Hanson Motors in Olympia at the beginning of this year, but with failing health, was unable to continue. He faced everything, including his illness with humor. He figured if you could laugh at a problem, it wasn’t so bad. He is survived by wife Debbie, son and daughter-in-law Roger and Kisha, daughter Lana, and beloved cat Cody; brother Bob of Centralia; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Dave Hilpert of Easton, Maryland. A memotial service and reception will be held 11AM Friday, March 9 at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, 1437 South Gold St. in Centralia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at Chase bank in Chehalis in John’s name toward a family memorial fund.
Arrangements under the direction of Sticklin Funeral Chapel, Centralia, WA.
