Johnathan Michael Rice

Johnathan Michael Rice, 15, of Rochester, Wash., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. He was born on Thursday, March 12, 1998 in Aberdeen, Wash. Johnathan attended Rochester High School and was a member of Crossroads Foursquare Church in Rochester. Johnathan enjoyed skateboarding and playing basketball. He was fascinated by the variety of tricks one can do on a skateboard. Johnathan was a very talented, self-taught, skateboarder; he spent every available moment practicing the next bigger, better trick. Johnathan had a warm heart and a kind spirit; he loved bringing happiness, joy and laughter to his family and friends with his clever wit and intelligent humor. As one of God’s children, Johnathan was sent here to grace us all. Having accomplished his goal, he has now returned home.

Johnathan is survived by his parents, Leonard H. Rice, Jr. and Kristine Dalyce (Kitchen) Rice, siblings, Joe, Kathryn, Jessica, Justin, Josh and Karianna, grandparents, Leonard and Sharon Rice, and Paul and Sharon Kitchen. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Brian Rice.

A visitation will be held from 10am-12pm, Saturday, May 25, 2013, followed by the funeral service at 1pm, at the Crossroads Foursquare Church, 9231 183rd Ave SW, Rochester, WA 98579. Arrangements entrusted to Sticklin Funeral Chapel.
