She is well known in the small town as a bartender. Kim tended bar for over 25 years at the Little Red Barn in Grand Mound and the Littlerock Tavern. She then moved on to the state Department of Enterprise Services, working there for 21 years as a custodian. Kim also cleaned houses on the side.
She made many friends and touched many hearts with her outgoing, strong-willed and loud personality. Her favorite things to do in her spare time were camping with her sisters Deedee and Bonnie, or hanging out with Haylee.
Kim is survived by her son, Shawn Capperilli and wife, Amy along with her only grandchild, Haylee, in which her life revolved around; mother, Jeanne Griffin; and her brothers, sisters, extended family and many friends. She will be missed dearly.
A small gathering will be held at a later date.
