Timothy “Tim” Clyde Cooper, 55, of Glenoma, WA passed away May 20, 2012 at home surrounded by family. He was known to many as “Turkey” and the “Rescue Ranger” - as all one needed was to get him on the phone and he was there to assist a friend in need.
Tim was born February 26, 1957 in Morton, the youngest child of George and Beula (Riffe) Cooper. He graduated from White Pass HS in 1975. Tim later married Nancy Cline of Morton, and they had two daughters before divorcing in 1994.
Tim was a mechanic by trade, but could fix most anything as long as it did not involve carpentry! He was an avid reader and collector. Tim appreciated the outdoors and never missed an opportunity to explore off-road. He was a member of the Randle Swamp Stompers, a local four-wheeling group for many years.
Tim is survived by his daughters, Kelli and Amanda Cooper and a granddaughter , Alyssa Barbosa, former wife Nancy Cooper and her son Timothy, all of Pullman, WA; siblings Ed (Linda) Cooper, Randle and Kathy Richart, Olympia; nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends. His parents and grandparents Harry and Katherine Cooper, Charles and Lovie Riffe, and Orson and Vernie Schoonover preceded him in death.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at the Morton Moose Lodge on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 1 p.m. Friends and family are invited. Please come prepared to share your best Tim “stories”.
Donations may be made to Caring Bridge, American Cancer Society, White Pass School Scholarship Fund or a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sticklin Funeral Chapel, Centralia.
