Virginia Elizabeth Duffy

Virginia E. Duffy, 86, of Molalla, Oregon, passed away on December 18, 2014, at Sharon Care Assisted Living in Centralia, Washington. She was born on May 29, 1928 to Robert R. and Isabelle M. (Strean) Orem, in Molalla, Oregon. Virginia attended and graduated from Molalla High School in 1946. On July 16, 1946, she married the love of her life, George L. Duffy, in Payette, Idaho; together they lovingly reared four children, Thomas, Terrance, George II, and Kellee Sue.

Virginia was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she devoted her life to caring for her family. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and on the Molalla Adult Community Center Board. Virginia enjoyed searching for antiques and collectables, and then decorating her home with the beautiful items she found. She also decorated her garden with knickknacks, bird houses and other interesting objects. Virginia adored gardening so she could look out her back window and see an exquisite wonderland of treasures and flowers. She also took great joy in driving in her little red convertible.

Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter, Kellee Sue Duffy, grandson, Patrick M. Duffy, husband, George L. Duffy, brother, Robert L. Orem, sister, Betty Wyland, mother, Isabelle M. Orem, and father, Robert R. Orem. She is survived by her sons, Thomas P. (Amy) Duffy, Terrance M. (Niki) Duffy, and George L. (Barbara) Duffy, II, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Foothills Community Church, 215 East Main Street, Molalla, OR 97038. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or the Molalla Adult Community Center.
