On November 16, she left us with her granddaughter by her side.
Zona was born Jan. 17, 1931, at Balch, Wash. to A.C. and Gertrude Miller. Zona lived all of her life in Oakville.
On Jan. 2, 1947, she married Robert “Bobby” Johnson. Bobby passed Feb. 14, 1982. Together they had four children: Robert “Ron” Johnson of Oakville, Keeta Zepp of Elma, Carl “Doug” Johnson of Aberdeen, and Sherri (Jim) Lofton of Nogales, Ariz. Zona had 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Zona spent many years as a waitress. She belonged to the Oakville Eastern Star. She also belonged to a league of bowlers. She loved spending time and bowling with the girls. She also enjoyed going to bingo and visiting with friends at Jag’s Restaurant. Her two sidekicks (her dogs) Rudy and Missy were great company and wonderful companions to her.
Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Oakville Methodist Church with a potluck following.
Graveside will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Oakville Fire Department.
