

Alfonso was born on February 19, 1935 in Olongapo, Philippines to the late Pedro Tec and Toribia Tec. Alfonso valued family and always prioritized being a good father to his children and husband to his wife, Amelita. Throughout his life, he worked hard to provide for his family. He was overjoyed when he became a grandfather and always showed his grandchildren kindness and compassion.
Alfonso was known for his intelligence and good sense of humor. In his spare time, he enjoyed tending his garden and fixing things around the house. He liked to watch wrestling, karate and classic movies. Alfonso was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and a devoted member of his community. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Florentina, Fernando, and Rodolfo.
Alfonso is survived by his wife, Amelita; his children, Juliet, Mario, Alfonso Jr., Albert, Raquel, Mary Anne, Janer and Daizy; and his grandchildren, Jance, Chloe, Janer Jr., Michelle, Kathleen, Jerik, Junior, Gabriel, Alh, Eve Jaz, Justin, Alyssa, Bryan and many more.
Family will receive friends Monday, May 5, 2025 from 4 PM to 7 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. The funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Alfonso will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, 4426 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205.
