Angeline “Angie” J. Ross, 84, of Paw Creek, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2025. Born on March 23, 1941, Angie lived a life defined by faith, devotion, and love. She touched countless lives with her kindness, her radiant smile, and her unwavering commitment to family, friends, and her church.
A proud graduate of West Mecklenburg High School, Class of 1959, Angie carried the lessons of hard work, compassion, and community with her throughout her life. Her strong Christian faith was the cornerstone of her journey, guiding her as a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and loyal friend. She was an active, lifelong member of Paw Creek Presbyterian Church, where she found joy in fellowship and service. Angie’s faith was not only spoken but lived daily in the way she cared for others and welcomed everyone with open arms.
Angie’s greatest joy was found in her family. She loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment together. She was a devoted grandmother who delighted in attending her grandchildren’s activities, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories. Her hobbies were simple yet profound—time spent with those she loved most. Angie’s gentle spirit, accepting nature, and beautiful smile made her a source of comfort and strength to all who knew her. She was truly the best wife and mother, and her friendships were marked by loyalty and warmth.
She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin “Sonny” Ross; her sons, Randy Ross (Sue Ross), Gary Ross (Allison Ross), and Dale Ross; grandchildren; Ryan and Amber Ross, Morgan and Nick Robinson, Jacob Ross, Caleb Ross, and Raygan Ross; her sister, Emily Adkins; her brother, Hoyt Johnson; and great-grandchildren; Ameilia Nolan and soon-to-arrive Luke. Angie was preceded in death by her father, Evans Baxter Johnston and her mother, Lillie Rozzelle Johnston.
Angie’s legacy of faith, kindness, and love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. She leaves behind not only her family but also a wide circle of friends and church members who will remember her as a loyal companion, a devoted Christian, and a woman whose life was a true reflection of grace.
