He graduated from Shelby High School and Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC.
Wayne served four years in the Air Force, 1969-1971. After his military service, he and his wife, Gayle, moved to Charlotte, NC. There he began his career as an inventory auditor and was later able to start his own business, MTM Inventory Service.
Wayne was an avid golfer and enjoyed his time on the green.
Mr. Tritt is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gayle, his two children, Michelle (David) Abramowski and Tara Tritt Caldwell, four grandchildren; Joshua, Alexis, Nathan, and Hannah and two great-grandchildren, Autumn and Brody.
He was predeceased by his son, Michael Wayne.
