Betty Griffin Meggs

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed a successful career with Kroehler Manufacturing before retiring with over 30 years of service.

Betty enjoyed spending time with family and traveling with her husband Carl before his passing in 2007. “Mamaw” especially enjoyed caring for and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Yvonne Baucom of Charlotte, NC, Doug Meggs and wife, Lisa, of Mint Hill, NC and Curtis Meggs and wife, Debi, of Indian Trail, NC, grandchildren; Brent Meggs(Candace), Brittany Rauch(Julian) and Daniel Meggs and greatgrandson; Wills Davis Rauch.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty years, Carl Meggs.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Home in Mint Hill, NC, on Friday, June 5th with Funeral Services to follow in the McEwen Chapel at 2 PM.

Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Gardens in Charlotte.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staffs of Unlimited Possibilities in Mint Hill, and Hospice & Palliative Care and her nurse, Ms. Camille Timberlake, for the loving care and support that they provided.
