Bobby was also known as Turbo, B-Bop, Hot Rod, Independence Rebel; nicknames that aligned with his passions, Motorcycles and Hot Rods. He loved loud pipes and smokin' tires. Bobby was a busy man. When he was not enjoying his hobbies or working, he spent his time being a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
A lifelong resident of Charlotte, Bobby graduated from Independence High School in 1972. He was a professional plumber and owned Knight Plumbing Company. In his final days, he was able to enjoy the views of Lake Norman.
Where he is now, the pain no longer exists, he is riding his motorcycle in the clouds.
Bobby is survived by his mother, Agnes Eller Knight of Charlotte, NC; children, Kasie Knight Fortune (Adam) of Monroe, NC, Bobby Gene Knight III (Beth) of Charlotte, NC, and Kristin M. Knight of Monroe, NC; grandchildren, Savannah Cheryl Baucom, Noah Milton Baucom (Regan), Dylan Knight Baucom, Sean Felix Fortune, Ryder Alan Buchanan, Jacob Riley Buchanan, Lily Marie Buchanan, and Violet Esther Buchanan; and one great grandchild, Adaline Rea Baucom.
We thank you Pops for everything. We love you no matter what.
