Brandon graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School and North Carolina State University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 2011 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2015.
Brandon was born with a passion for animals and knew he wanted to pursue the veterinary profession from a young age. He cared for numerous pets throughout his childhood and began working at the South Ridge Veterinary Hospital in Kannapolis, NC during high school. After receiving his veterinary degree, Brandon began his professional career at the Halifax County Veterinary Center in Halifax, VA where he loved practicing veterinary medicine for 8 years. Dr. Mallard, known for his compassion, dedication, and warm friendship, touched the lives of numerous pets and their human companions. When not caring for animals, Brandon enjoyed cheering on his favorite sports teams, particularly the Jimmie Johnson NASCAR team, and of course his beloved North Carolina State Wolfpack.
Brandon was a very special and dearly loved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend and he will be profoundly missed in our lives. We, however, cherish the wonderful memories he left with us and find comfort knowing he is home with his Lord and Saviour Jesus.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Warren and Mary Mallard, & Richard and Mary Ann Marx; and his cousin, Thomas Marx.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Pamela Mallard; his sister, Lauren Conrad (David); his two nephews, Grayson Conrad and Archer Conrad; as well as loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family members.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Lake Forest Church, 8519 Gilead Rd, Huntersville, NC. A Reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine (https://give.ncsu.edu/vetmed).
