Mrs. Husband will be remembered as a loving, spirited, and compassionate woman. She had a deep affection for animals, cherished time spent with her family, and held a special devotion to her only son, Robbie. Her love of dance and her lively personality brought joy to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Wayne Husband; her son and love of her life, Robbie (Lisa); her grandchildren, Brandon (Matt), Todd (Michelle), and Dustin (Alyssa); and her great-grandson, Mason. She is also survived by her brothers, Gary (Debbie) and Butch Deaton (Juanita).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix Rice and Willie Deaton Rice, as well as five brothers and six sisters.
A visitation will be held at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, located at 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Charlotte, NC, 28227, on December 20, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm.
