Charlotte Whiting

Charlotte Whiting, of Mint Hill, North Carolina, was called home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, the 31st of January 2017 at the age of 88. Charlotte was born in Marietta, Ohio and was a graduate of Marietta High School.

Charlotte was the Executive Vice-President with PTL Ministries and later continued her passion as an interior decorator. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and active with InReach Residential & Support Services.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Bob Whiting, Sr. and their son, Gregory.

She is survived by two sons, David and Bobby, his wife, Dara, and their three sons, Hunter, Tanner and Conner. Her family will always remember her for being a kind and loving mother, and always giving of herself to others.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation from three until five Sunday afternoon, the 5th of February, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill. Funeral services are private.

The family offers their most sincere appreciation to Dr. Carl Smart for his loving care and support over the years.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to support the Shepard’s Flock Sunday School Class at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Checks need to be made payable to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 8947 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28227. Please note on your check that your memorial gift is to be directed to Shepard’s Flock.
