Edward Lee Warner

A native of Charlotte, Lee was a graduate of Garinger High School. He was employed with Athens Paper Company for a number of years. Lee was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Vea Sunday School Class and was involved in the Shuttle Bus Ministry. He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine Warner; and his brother, Timothy Dale Warner.

Surviving are his mother, Laura Stroupe of Mt. Holly, North Carolina; his father, Edward Warner and wife, Joan, of Charlotte, North Carolina; and numerous extended family.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 pm Thursday, January 18, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 5:00 pm in the church. A committal service will be held 2:00 pm Friday in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Novant Health Harris Hospice Unit, Post Office Box 33549, Charlotte, North Carolina 28233.
