Elladean Hinson Ferguson

Elladean was born on September 20, 1935, in Indian Trail, North Carolina to the late George Elmer Deese and Lelon Elizabeth Helms. She married Billy Reece Ferguson. Elladean has two daughters, Vicky and Venia. Elladean was a loving mother and wife to her family. Elladean spent her career as a seamstress and was a member at Hopewell Baptist.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Haskel Deese, and Dwight Deese; and grandson, David Bradley II.

Elladean is survived by husband, Billy Reece Ferguson; her two daughters, Vicky Bradley Courtney (Wayne), and Venia Swinney (Michael); her grandchildren, Crystal High (Joe), Michael Swinney II (Marvelis), Scarlet Swinney, and Michael Courtney (Paige); and great grandchildren, Michael Swinney III, Alexandra Swinney, Isabelle Swinney, Rebecca Swinney, Lainie Turner, Lucas Turner, McCoy Courtney and Macon Courtney.

A visitation for Elladean will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Golden Acre Baptist Church, 15809 Lawyers Rd, Matthews, NC 28104. A funeral service will immediately follow. Elladean will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery, 4316 Hillcrest Church Rd, Unionville, NC 28110.
