

Mrs. Jameson was born in Wingate, NC on May 11, 1922, daughter of the late Fletcher W. Causey and Mary Rosa Caudle Causey. Her mother died shortly after Frances’ birth. Frances and her older brother and sister, were reared and nurtured by her very loving uncle and aunt, James and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Caudle, and their seven children of Peachland, NC. Most of her childhood was spent there, where she graduated from high school. She also spent a short period of time in Bostic, NC with her father. She completed a business course at Woman’s College (UNCG), and then worked for Southern Bell in her early adult years. She was a homemaker during most of her adult life. She loved the Lord, and for many decades played an active role in her local Southern Baptist church through various activities including, WMU, Sunday School teacher, Prayer Meeting and Training Union. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William McKenzie “Mac” Jameson; a brother, Fletcher Causey; and a sister, Mary Rose Foil. She leaves behind her daughter, Mary Johnson and her husband Darrell of Wilmington, NC; her son, Richard Jameson of Charlotte; her granddaughter, Lesley J. Henderson and her husband, Greg; and two great-grandsons, Rowan and Lucas, all of Williamsburg, VA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the main campus of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in the Latin American Building on Thursday, August 1, 2013 beginning at 1 p.m.. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Harrill officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Senior Adult Ministries at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 6050 Hickory Grove Road, Charlotte, NC 28215.
