

Born December 20, 1943, in Mooresville, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Robert Bynum Hudspeth and Lura May Roberts Hudspeth Edwards. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lee Hudspeth.
Harold was a 1962 graduate of Harding High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years. He retired from Lanier Worldwide, Inc. after 42 years of dedicated service. Harold has been a member of Arlington Baptist Church since 1964. He will be remembered for his humble nature, great sense of humor, and his love for his country.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joy; step-son, Chad Helderman and his wife, Lisa; step-daughter, Amy Bridges and her husband, John; his brother, Bob Hudspeth and his wife, Martha, and their children, Erik and his wife, Dana, and Chris; and his sister, Nancy Barton and her children, Donna, Debbie, Diane and her husband, Gerald, and David. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his four step-grandchildren, Hunter, Cole, Austin, and Kelly; and one step-great-grandson, Ethan. Harold is also survived by his very special sister-in-law, Elaine Pell and her husband, Allan.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Arlington Baptist Church Family Life Center, with a funeral service following at 3:00 pm. The Reverend Rick Whittier will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family would like to thank the dedicated hospice workers who cared so well for Harold, as well as his lifelong friend, Linda Kiser.
