

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 15, 1948, to the late John and Jeanette Bares.
She graduated from Thornridge High School in 1966 and then attended Marquette University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970. She later attended Northwestern University School of Law, where she attained her Juris Doctor degree cum laude in 1990. Jacqueline’s career path included teaching and working as a buyer for Sears Roebuck. Her final venture was working as a corporate lawyer, specializing in compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Jackie’s many interests included reading, playing word games, and following her favorite sports teams, especially the Indiana Fever and Carolina Panthers. She loved all animals, but was especially fond of her own pets. She was a smart, witty, and compassionate woman. Jackie will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Jacqueline is preceded in death by her parents, John and Jeanette Bares, sister, Judy Berger, and grandniece, Elizabeth Schilling. She is survived by her sister, Lynn Schilling (Jim) of Matthews, North Carolina; nephews, James (Jimmy) Schilling (Chris) of Lisle, Illinois; Jeffrey Schilling (Linda) of Nebo, North Carolina; niece, Julie Schilling Brenton (Richard) of Malvern, Pennsylvania; grandnephews, Michael Schilling and Charles Schilling; and grandnieces, Mary Schilling, Katherine Brenton, and Eleanor Brenton.
