J.B. retired from a career in cabinet making at Design Interior Display. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Alaska.
J.B. was born on September 22, 1921, in Concord, to the late Robert Alexander and the late Emma Jane Cleaver Lisk. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Mae Hartsell Lisk; his brothers, J.R. Lisk, Blain Lisk, Howard Lisk and Haywood Lisk; his sisters, Lutel Penegar, Ruth Smith and Helen Tucker; and two half-sisters, Ethel Raborn and Arie Funderburk.
Mr. Lisk is survived by many nieces and nephews; and longtime friend, Elsie T. Griggs.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Dulin’s Grove Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
