James Allen Savarese

James is survived by his partner & husband of almost 40 years, Jim Payne. Together they lived in Pennsylvania; High Point, NC and New Port Richey, FL before moving to Charlotte, NC in July of 2020.

He was a technical draftsman (a civil servant) in earlier years. James also spent many years traveling and doing breathing and hearing tests for large factories. He spent many years running and lifting weights, and loved his 2 dogs, Batchelor and Baby and his cat, Tarpie.

James is survived by his daughters, Karen (Ted) Kostich and Christine McArthur and a twin brother, Bill Savarese; 8 grandchildren, Courtney (Alvin) Nieves, Ashley (Albert) Gilgore, Theodore Kostich, Jr (Jeff Schanz), Andrew Kostich, Zachary Hauge, Joshua Hauge, Jacob McArthur and Benjamin McArthur; 4 great-grandchildren, Kyle Cerami, Madison Gilgore, Luciano Ferrara & Cristiano Ferrara and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Sylvia (Dan) Papp, his father & stepmother, Bill (Mildred) Savarese and son in law, Bob McArthur.
