Janice was born June 17, 1953, at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Morganfield, Kentucky. Her parents were John and Barbara Norris. Janice was raised in Fox Lake Hills, Illinois and Evansville, Indiana.
Janice grew up with four siblings. She had two older brothers, Jimmy Norris and Tommy Norris, one older sister, Claudia Norris, and one younger sister, Janet Gibson.
Janice experienced success in her work life over and over again. Her primary occupation was Psychiatric Technician. She held various jobs throughout her life including being a graphic artist, Theater manager, and psychiatric tech. Janice always made the effort to understand what was needed at work, and was well known by her colleagues as a team player. Janice took pride in managing her professional responsibilities and seemed to always know what was necessary to successfully complete a project.
Because she was organized and methodical, Janice took great pleasure in her various hobbies. She created K.I.D.S. (Kids in difficult situations) charity, she staged and ran haunted houses for charity, she was also an avid artist. Janice sought out the many festivals around Charlotte because she enjoyed viewing and occasionally purchasing local artists wears. One of her favorites was the annual Festival in the Park.
Janice’s faith was important to her. She was a member at St John Neumann Catholic Church 9 years and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church 20 years. During that time, she was an active member of Legion of Mary, a catechist, SonFest volunteer, Hospitality desk volunteer, and Eucharist Minister. She was compassionate and warm hearted, someone who truly cared for others and that was clearly demonstrated in her work with the congregation.
