

She was born in Rockingham, NC on July 31, 1934 to the late John Roy and Madeline Case Hailey.
Barbara Jean Hailey graduated from Berryhill High School. She was married to Ray G. Cook, Sr. on June 6, 1952.
Mrs. Cook had a career as a Business Owner for Interstate Kitchens & Bath, Inc. She also owned the Little Pack Rat Antiques & Gifts. She was a member of Sun City Poker Club and had a passion for basketball, bowling, poker, friends and her family.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her children, Ray G. Cook, Jr., Randy Cook and Tamara Stegall; grandchildren, Kristina Bortle and her husband Kelly and Devin Howard; great grandchildren, Hailey and Kyndel Dean, Jack and Brooks Bortle, and Kasey Ray Cook.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ray G. Cook, Sr.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 with visitation following the service at the cemetery.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Jean’s home.
