Joyce Lee Richardson

Mint Hill - Mrs. Richardson age 90 passed away peacefully September 11, 2014 at her home. Born August 25, 1924, in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of the late Ellis Elvin Fisher and Ida Mae White Fisher. She married Harlan Richardson on November 27, 1954. She was a loving wife and mother dedicating her life to care for her special needs son. She will also be remembered for her love of cats and birds.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harlan Richardson, her son Gregory Richardson, her parents and brothers Ray Fisher and Dick Fisher.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Richardson, sisters Pearl Dellinger of Charlotte, Helen Rodgers of Jackson, MI and many nieces and nephews.

Her daughter wishes to express her sincere gratitude to Mrs. Richardson’s caregivers – TaNasiah Murphy, Felisha Haywood, Esther Dolo and Mary Madden.

Pallbearers are Scott Fisher, Tuan Thompson, Erik Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Robert Young and Matthew Ferrell.

The family will receive friends at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel on Monday, September 15th at 11:00am, service at noon followed by a reception.
