Kathy "Kath" Robusto (Memaw and Grandma)

She was born in Albany, New York to Robert and Betty Hall. She and her husband Jerry of 46 years, originally resided in Saratoga Springs, NY where they owned a custom home building company.

Kathy was often found cheering on her sons, Chris and Brian, at the hockey rink. Kathy and Jerry moved to Charlotte, NC in 1993. Both Chris and Brian later followed.

Kathy helped relocate Saratoga Technologies from New York to Matthews, NC where she served as Vice President for many years. She later became President of the Katlyn Group, a custom home building company based in Mint Hill, NC. But Kathy’s true passion was her family. You most often found her in the kitchen cooking for friends and family. She loved to entertain and overfeed her guests. She also enjoyed traveling and even attending a cooking school in Italy. Kathy loved to garden and used her own herbs in her many Italian dishes.

Kathy is survived by her husband Jerry Robusto, her son Chris and wife Kerri of Fort Mill, SC and her son Brian and wife Angie of Mint Hill, NC. Sisters Patti Hall of Scotia, NY, Barbara Mone of Boston Spa, NY, and brother Thomas Hall of Corning, New York, and father Robert Hall (Age 96) of Albany, New York. Her nieces include Elizabeth Parisi, Jessica Hall and Sydney Hall, and her nephew Eric Mone. She was preceded by her mother, Betty Hall of Albany, NY.

Kathy was the most-loving and adoring grandmother to Isabella, William, Nicholas and Joseph Robusto. She adored her Yorkies Sienna Marie and Bella.

Kathy was always giving to others. In honor of her memory, donations can be made to the Mint Hill Fire & Rescue or the Charlotte Humane Society.

Kathy will be missed by so many.

Services will be held, Wednesday March 2 at 6:30 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Home, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
