Kim graduated from Tehran High School in Tehran, Iran. He worked for Allen Tate as a realtor in the Charlotte area for ten years. He was a talented Potter and was a member of the Pottery Guild. His passions included music, disc golf, fishing and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Kim is survived by his wife, Kate Chapman; son, Drew Chapman; grandson, Aniket Powell; brother, Scott Chapman and sister, Dawn Chapman.
Due to the pandemic, the family has chosen to have a Celebration of Life Service at a future date.
