Larry James Curlee, Sr., 70, of Charlotte, passed away June 11, 2012 at home, surrounded by his family. A native of Charlotte, Larry spent his career with Family Dollar, Inc. of Matthews and retired in 2010.
Larry is predeceased by his parents, James and Mary Curlee and his grandparents, Crawford and Liza Thomas. He is survived by his children, Larry J. (Lora) Curlee, Jr. and Leslie (Ray) Bennett, grandchildren; Essalina, Mariah, Ellena, Jacklyn, Britt, Kimberly and Chet, great grandchildren; Elaina Davidson and Silas Hubbard, brother; Hurley (Delane) Curlee, Sr., nephew; Hurley (Jennifer) Curlee, Jr., niece; Paula Curlee, great nephew, Tyler and great niece, Taylor.
Family will receive friends Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Charlotte, NC 28227. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 1:00pm at Sharon Memorial Park.
