She was born May 16, 1941, in Lurgan, Ireland to the late, Thomas and Elsie McKenna. She came to America when she was seven years old.
Freda is survived by her two daughters; Cynthia Bentzen and Ronda Avila; four grandsons, four great grandsons, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A visitation for Freda will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. A graveside service will occur Monday, October 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.
