

Anita graduated from DuPont Manual High School. Over the years she lived in Florida, Tennessee, and North Carolina. She was employed with Eastern Airlines for thirty years in Miami and Charlotte. Anita loved to travel and visited many countries during her lifetime.
Ms. Prosser was always ready to serve her church family. She led her widows group for many years. And she had many talents including singing, playing the piano, playing scrabble, reading and sharing good times with her friends. Anita sent beautiful cards with handwritten notes and colorful drawings.
Anita leaves behind her three daughters, Terrie Goff (Doyle), Tammy Fletcher (Travis Fairbanks), Janel Vrooman (Mike Davis), seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, all who reside in Tennessee. She also leaves behind her brother, Donnie Vogel of Louisville, Kentucky and her sister, Judy Duncan (Don) of Mint Hill, North Carolina along with many nieces and nephews.
Anita was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin Roberts, Lee Vrooman and Jordan Prosser; her parents, Samuel and Lucile Vogel, her sisters, Glenda Watkins, Jean Dahl, Betty Bennett and her brother, Paul Vogel all of Louisville, Kentucky.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Matthews Church of God, 517 E John Street, Matthews, NC 28105. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Anita will be laid to rest at Arlington Baptist Church Cemetery, 9801 Arlington Church Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Widows Fund at Matthews Church of God.
