Martha Britt Hollins

Mrs. Hollins, 72, of Concord, formerly of Charlotte, died Monday, August 23, 2010 at her home after a long battle with cancer. A native of Charlotte, she was the widow of James W. Hollins and a daughter of the late Neal and Lottie Britt. Mrs. Hollins retired after many years of service from ABF Freight Company, formerly Carolina Freight Company.

Survivors include her son, Jeff Hollins and his wife, Jamie; sister, Dorothy Nealy; brother, Roger Britt and his wife, Becky; five grandchildren, Stacy Petok, Brandon and Jennifer Driggers, and Alyssa and Katie Presson; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Andrew Petok.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hollins was predeceased by her daughter, Ginger Leigh Presson and a brother, Irvin Britt.

Her family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road. A graveside service will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, August 26, at Sunset Memory Gardens.
