Mickey Lee Summey

Mickey Lee Summey of Mint Hill, passed away on May 9th, 2020. Mickey was born in Mecklenburg County on May 7th, 1976. He is survived by his sons: Devin and Gavin; his parents: Johnnie and Sherree and his brothers Johnnie Jr. (JJ) and Daniel. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends he considered family. Anyone who knows Mickey has a story of how he's helped someone in need. Whether it was helping the elderly couple from down the street when their heat went out or the young mother in the grocery store who couldn't afford her baby's formula. Mickey started his career at Dulin Mechanical in 2001. For the past seven years he's been the service manager. Mickey was a leader that everyone could turn to. He was relied upon when people needed help and was proud to be able to pass on his knowledge. His co-workers will tell you, Mickey wasn't just a service manager, he was a brother to them all, and he made everyone feel like Family. Services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 2:00pm at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel. We will celebrate Mickey's life outside, at the rear of the building.
