Minnie Dulin Thomas

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at McEwen – Mint Hill Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church with The Rev. Dr. Charles Williamson and The Reverend Lee Koontz officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.

Mrs. Thomas was born April 27, 1934 in Mecklenburg County, a daughter of the late Claude and Suddie Mullis Dulin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Bobby, and Maurice Dulin, and her sisters, Pauline Whitlow and Ruth Henderson. Mrs. Dulin was a lifelong member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church and was active in the Red Hat Club. She loved to travel with her husband in their motor home following his retirement.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-eight years, Melvin H. Thomas, Sr.; children, Cindy Thomas and her husband, Jim of Weddington, Melvin H. Thomas, Jr. of Charlotte, Kenneth L. Thomas and his wife, Robin and Keith L. Thomas and his wife, Jan, all of Indian Trail; brother, Richard L. Dulin; and seven loving grandchildren, Brittany, Alexandra, Samantha, Michael, Melissa, Elizabeth, and Jessica.
