Ora D. "David" Rist

David leaves behind his wife, Patricia; son, Scott; daughter-in-law, Allison; his adored grandchildren, Tyler and Isabella; sister, Christie; brother, Chuck; sister, Sue (Val); sister, Beth; sister, Gretchen and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Ora David Rist Jr and sister, Kay.

A graduate of Charlotte High School, David proudly served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972, demonstrating a profound dedication to his nation. His service was characterized by honor and a deep-seated sense of duty.

Preceding and following his honorable discharge, David embarked on a distinguished career at General Motors, where he worked from 1967 until his retirement in 1997. During this time David also graciously volunteered his time as a firefighter with Barnard Fire Department in Greece, NY for over 15 years.

David's life was a living example of hard work, devotion to family, and selfless service.

The Rist family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the outpouring of love and support and the courageous work of the hospice staff during this time of mourning.
