

He is survived by his wife Pamela Anthony, daughter Vanessa Austin and son-in-law Michael Austin, and granddaughter Madalyn Austin. He is also survived by his mother Margaret Anthony-Sands, brothers James Anthony and his wife Linda, and John Anthony and his husband Steven Angelo.
Pat was born July 21, 1954 in Savannah, Georgia. He graduated in 1972 from John Jay High School in San Antonio, Texas. Following high school he served in the United States Air Force for eight years. During his service, he met his wife while they were both stationed in Alaska. Pat and Pam were married on June 10, 1978. He attended San Antonio College. Pat began his dedicated career with PerkinElmer in 1981 and worked with them for 34 years.
He was a long-time member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he worshipped with his family and friends, and helped to establish a contemporary service with the band, Therapy. He had a passion for mentoring the youth of the church, making music, and photography. He was happiest when spending time with his family and friends, and his granddaughter Maddy, the sunshine of his life.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two thirty in the afternoon on Saturday, the 28th of February, at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church with visitation held two hours prior to the service. The interment will follow the service at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
