Rebecca Johnson "Becky" McGee

Rebecca Johnson "Becky" McGee, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Friday morning, the 13th of September 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 74 years old. Born September 3, 1939 in Longview, TX, she was a daughter of the late Homer Ruffin Johnson and Elizabeth Maude Rumley Johnson.

Becky was a 1957 graduate of Stokesdale High School, where she was a cheerleader for four years. She later attended UNC-Greensboro. Becky worked in accounting with Blue Bell, Inc. She was an active member of the Newell Chapter of NC Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a past Worthy Matron and also served as secretary for many years. Becky was a member of Back Creek Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Boyd Neal McGee; son, Brian McGee and wife, Michelle, of Harrisburg; daughter, Stacey McGee of Charlotte; grandsons, Cameron and Conor McGee of Harrisburg; and sister, Jane Troxler and husband, Harvey, of Summerfield, NC.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held eleven o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 17th of September, at Back Creek Presbyterian Church, 1821 Back Creek Church Road in Charlotte. The Rev. Wayne Frazier and the Rev. Barry McGee will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from nine o'clock in the morning until ten forty-five in the morning just prior to the service at the church.
