Richard Lee Marshall

Richard grew up in Taylorsville, NC, one of 4 sons of Betty and the late Ed Marshall. After graduating from Taylorsville High School he went on to earn his Engineering degree at UNC Charlotte and his Masters Degree in Business and Engineering at Queens College. He worked for Rexham his entire career and continued consulting with them after he retired.

Richard was an intelligent, kind, family man who was loved deeply and will be missed dearly. He was always tinkering with a new project, spending time with or bragging about his family. You never left him without learning something new. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, his wit and the love he had for his family.

Richard is survived by his wife Theresa Westfield Marshall, his children Kelly Marshall Raymond and the late Patrick Marshall. His stepdaughter Lynn Mayhew and husband Clint. His grandchildren Amelia & Lucas Raymond and Jackson & Will Mayhew. His brothers Randy Marshall and wife Susan, Brian Marshall and his wife Kathy, the late Reese Marshall and his wife Cathy as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 1pm at McEwen Funeral Home, 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. Receiving friends will follow the service.
