Sharon Eastwood Cavender

Her family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint-Hill Road. At Sharon’s request, there will be no service.

Born July 19, 1947 in Pontiac, MI, Sharon was the daughter of the late Miles Albert Eastwood and Delores Ward Eastwood. She will be remembered for her loving and caring heart. Sharon’s passion was being a foster parent and caring for children. During her life, she cared for over 200 children. She also loved animals, music and the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Miles Albert “Mickey” Eastwood, III.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Daniel E. Cavender; three children, Tonette Foster McQuinn and her husband, David, of Columbus, GA, Tony Foster and his wife, Michele, of Kannapolis, and Dana Foster Baird and her husband, Joey, of Indian Trail; seven grandchildren, Casey McQuinn and his wife, Peytanne, Brandon McQuinn, Aliya Foster, Brenna Foster, Corin Foster, Samantha Cahoon and Sarah Baird; and a great-granddaughter, Kayli Blake M. McQuinn.
