Born on March 22, 1947, in Albemarle, NC, Wayne built a life rooted in hard work, family, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He spent his career in the vending machine service industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and friendly nature.
Wayne had a lifelong passion for classic cars, especially his beloved 1968 red Chevrolet Camaro. He also found great joy in gardening, spending time outdoors, and caring for the many dogs that were lucky to be loved by him over the years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Jan. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Brannan and her husband Chad, and Kelly Craig and her husband Chris. He was a proud grandfather to Michael and Joshua Brannan, and Katelyn and Camryn Craig. Wayne’s family was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Wayne will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and the love he showed to both people and animals. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched.
A private family service will be held to honor his life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
