William Simon "Bill" Wentz

Mr. Wentz was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Flowe Wentz, his parents, Lewie and Ludy Wentz, also of Mint Hill, and one brother, Maurice L. Wentz of Baltimore, Maryland.

He is survived by his sister, Helen Wentz Coleman of Jacksonville, NC; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Wentz was a mason and a member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Mint Hill. Along with his job, Mr. Wentz and his wife taught dancing for 40 years and made many, many friends doing what he enjoyed most. Mr. Wentz was a natural born entertainer that people loved. He will be greatly missed.

Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 4, at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ernest Gardner and the Rev. Lee Koontz officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
