Alice Lucile Webb

She was born February 22, 1935, and was a Tyner High School graduate, class of ’53, where she received the “Art Balfour Award”. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” J. Webb, also a Tyner graduate. Also preceding her was her father and mother, Austin Louis McGee and Mable Thomas McGee.

She was a loyal person and loving mother. Cherishing her memory are her son, James “Jimmy” Louis Webb and wife Paige, daughter, Joanne Betina Webb Dale and husband, Kenneth, grandchildren, Gracee Jaymes, Sarah, Erik, Vicky and husband, James, Becky and husband, Keith, great grandchildren, Madison, Heath, Clayton, Hayleigh and Little Keith, sister, Austina McGee Richey and her husband Joseph “Joe” and brothers, A.L. McGee and wife Sandra and Eugene McGee and wife, Jeannie and several nieces and nephews and all those who knew her as Mama Alice and Nana.

She attended UTC and Chattanooga State and retired from AAA Auto Club South, where she served as Auto Traveler Counselor and cashier.

She was involved in several projects, taught art, decorated and designed Christmas parade floats where they won 1st place. She was owner and operator of Alice’s Dinner Restaurant and had leased and operated Harrison Bay Restaurant. She had judged the preliminaries to the Miss Alabama, Miss Georgia and Miss Tennessee Beauty Pageants. Her life has made an impact on us all!

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Lenzy Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Cemetery with Rex Richey, Gene McGee, Ty McGee, Max McGee, Brian Howard and Kenny DeFriese serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
