Betty Ann Odmann, 57, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011. A native of Jacksonville, FL, she has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 26 years and was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late James and Evelyn Swinton Ellison and was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Friend Newsom and two brothers, James Dewayne Ellison and Rick Pomar. Survivors include her husband, Mark Joseph Odmann; two daughters, Brandy (Tim) Howard, and Lucretia Morgan; son, Paul (Katherine) Schurer, all of Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Brittany Newell, Austin Temple, Haley Morgan and Joshua Schurer; two great-grandchildren, Faith and Brynlie; sister, Kay (Bill) Shipes, Chattanooga: brother, Ronnie Ellison, Chattanooga. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Steve Cape officiating. Interment will be in Chickamauga City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. till the time of service on Wednesday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
