He was born December 24, 1949, to Carlisle Brock, Sr. and Effie Lee Watkins of Mississippi. C.Y. graduated from Hillcrest High School in Memphis and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Captain. His family dearly remembers him as a loving husband and devoted grandfather to his 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, with another one on the way.
His interests included collecting family photos and music. Most especially his interest was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
C.Y. is survived by his wife Linda; his four stepchildren, Jason (Bernice) Smith, Jennifer (fiancée Jay) Rogers, Josh (Jennifer) Smith and Julie (Chris) Harville and children, Chris Brock and Jennifer Brock Mezo of Memphis, TN.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Dr. Phil Sumrall, Commander, USNR (Retired) and military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force.
