Clara Mae (Walker) Cross

She was the daughter of the late Lum and Mary Walker and was preceded in death by two brothers, L. Gene Walker and Larry Walker.

Clara was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on October 25, 1958. She loved her family and friends and had a great love for cats, especially one named “Oil Pan”. She was a member of numerous dart throwing teams and was known as being a Champion dart thrower.

She is survived by her companion of 23 years, Ralph O’Kelley, four children, Donnell Jones (Tim), of Trenton, GA, Julius Brogdon, of Rossville, GA, Will Brogdon, of San Antonio, TX, Marie Brogdon, of Rossville, GA, two grandchildren, Greyson and Cassidy Jones, five siblings, Eddie Cruse (Henrietta), of Rossville, GA, Geraldine Blanks, of Chattanooga, TN, Margie Newby (Paul), of Lookout Valley, TN, Lucy Russell (William), of Chattanooga, TN, Denise Dye (Ron), of Knoxville, TN, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m., with Donald Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Ooltewah Cemetery.
