A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was a member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church and was a painting contractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Joan Freeman and Elsie and Raymond Griffith; sisters, Barbara Fritts and Donna Fitzwater.
Survivors include his wife Roxanna Freeman; children, Sabrina Freeman, Michael (Chelsea) Salinas, Joe (Cheryl) Salinas, Adrian (Jennifer) Salinas and Tiffany (Venson) Oliver; 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sister, Connie (Dale) Lyons and brother, Richard Freeman; several nieces and nephews.
All CDC mandates will be in force at the funeral home, the church and cemetery which includes wearing a mask and social distancing.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday in the Valley View Chapel with Father Manuel Perez officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, Valley View Chapel, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
