

She was born and raised in Chilton, Texas. Dot graduated from Chilton High School and later from cosmetology school in Marlin, Texas. She was a manicurist for many years in Chattanooga at the McClellan Building Barber Shop and at the Read House Barber Shop.
She was a member of Harrison United Methodist Church. She also attended Saint John United Methodist Church as well as Broad Street United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Zula Mae Macdecy, her brother, John Macdecy, sister, Helen Macdecy Bagley and her son Michael Andrew O’Neal.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Barry John O’Neal and wife, Linda, two grandchildren, John Andrew O’Neal and Jennifer Lee O’Neal and a niece and nephew, Sherry and Gary Macdecy.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Ooltewah United Methodist with Reverend Debbie Stokes officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017, prior to the service.
