Hubert L. Pickett

Hubert L. Pickett, 86, of Chattanooga, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 10, 2021.
A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was the son of the late James H. and Edna May Pickett and was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Pat Pickett.
Hubert was a faithful and devoted follower of Christ. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. Hubert was a retired electrician for the City of Chattanooga and a member of the Local IBEW 175 for 67 years where he also taught in their apprenticeship program for over 15 years.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathy (Chris) Thurman and grandson, Matthew Thurman, all of Ooltewah.
Some of his greatest joys came from bass fishing and spending time with his family.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga for all their love and care.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Mark Strickland officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga at: www.hospiceofChattanooga.org.
