

Jerry Franklin Roberson, 53, of Ooltewah, TN, devoted husband to Lisa and wonderful dad to Adam, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at home, after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer. Jerry was a residential contractor for many years. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, golfing and being with his family, especially his grandchildren who knew him as “Pop”. He was a proud member of Silverdale Baptist Church and shared his journey as a testimony to what God had done in his life. He was preceded in death by his maternal-grandparents, William and Ruth Carpenter and his paternal grandparents, Carl F. and Ruth Roberson. Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Lisa Stulce Roberson; son, Adam Roberson; three grandchildren, Kyah, Camryn and Ciera; parents, Harold and Carolyn Roberson; sister, Alice (Greg) Ehmig; brothers, David Roberson and Steve (Janna) Roberson; several nieces and nephews and his two dogs which he loved very much Marley and Lucie. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Silverdale Baptist Church with the Rev. Chuck Patrick officiating. Interment will be in the New McDonald Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org or to the Silverdale Baptist Church Building Fund at 7236 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
