

Linda Viola Quarles Housley, of Ooltewah peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the age of 58 surrounded by her loving and caring family after an 8 year battle with cancer. She and her husband are the owners of Chattanooga Propane. She was the former owner of Maxi Muffler in Cleveland. In addition, she had worked at SunTrust Bank for over 10 years. Linda was a 1972 graduate of Central High School. She was a lifetime member of Oakwood Baptist Church of Chattanooga.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fayne B. Quarles.
Linda lived a wonderful life enjoying many great times with her family. Her favorite past-time was spending time with her loving grandchildren. They all enjoyed spending time in her cabin at the foot-hills of Gatlinburg. She would sit for hours on the back porch watching the beautiful water flow and nature around her.
Those left to cherish her memory, her loving husband Doyle M Housley Jr of 40 years, two daughters Sheila Housley Wilson and Tiffany (Tony) Smith. The love and light of her life, her three beautiful grandchildren, Ian Smith, Mia Smith, and Andrew Wilson all of Ooltewah. Her mother Ina Ruth Quarles, and her three sisters Wanda (David) Jernigan, Janet Quarles, and Connie (Tracy) Pruitt, along with several nieces and nephews all of Chattanooga, and her faithful dog, Ginger, that stayed by her side through her illness.
The family will receive friends from 11-1 and 4-8 Wednesday and 1 hour prior to funeral service on Thursday.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday in the Valley View Chapel, of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Ken Clark officiating with burial at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Pallbearers include Steven Jernigan, Collin Jernigan, John Test, Deward Neal, Tracy Pruitt and Joe McKinney.
