M. Eloise Oldham Lewis, of Ooltewah, peacefully went home on June 29, 2016. She was born August 31, 1918 and was age 97 years and ten months. She was a member of the Ooltewah Baptist Church for over 70 years and was retired from the Hamilton County School Systems, Cafeteria Food Service Department.
Eloise was preceded in death by her husband Jess Lewis; parents Charlie and Minnie Young Oldham; sisters Annie Oldham, Elba Grubb, Ruby Truett, Lillian Bennett and her brother Eugene Oldham.
Survivors include her nieces Barbara Burns, Faye Lawson, Joyce Bennett Turner and Reta Bennett; nephew Frank Bennett; several grand-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating.. Interment will be in Ooltewah Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. till 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway,
