Nancy L. Whitford Housley, 87, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013. A lifelong resident of Ooltewah, she was a member of the Ooltewah Baptist Church and was retired from McKee Foods Corp. with over 20 years of service. She was also a member of the O.E.S. Ooltewah Chapter. A daughter of the late Everette “Shorty” and Maggie Whitford she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Housley; sister, Thelma Aileen Blair; two brothers, Wayne Allen Whitford and Clarence Revere “Stinky” Whitford. Survivors include three sons, Tom Housley, Ooltewah, Gene Housley, Claremont, NC and Joe Housley, Cleveland, TN; daughter, Gina Merriman, Chattanooga; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Don Sapp officiating. Interment will be in the Ooltewah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
